Ever since I have memory, I love storytelling.
From reading to re-telling Disney to Dr. Seuss to even classic literature inspires me to create my own versions in my own style and perspective. Since I am Latina, Watching soap operas were part of my work inspiration since a very young age, around 3-years-old exactly.I would either have to blame or thank my beautiful grandmother, god bless her soul, who got me into watching these adult dramas in the first place. I was very young and yet I understood the story concepts through the characters and plot settings.
It allowed me to explore and discover a love for the intense romance drama.
It would be hard to believe a 3-year-old’s first expressions and phrases would be to explain the overly complicated summary of either an episode or story plot of a soap opera for her elderly grandmother. As growing to teen and adult years, the interest in history, classic literature and especially, cultural mythology. All became my main interest as focusing to improve on my art skill to collaborate with my own writing. The motivation and ambition drove me to re-create old writings in a new unique style to be simple yet appealing to the human eye. I love any type of mythology but mainly Greek and Egyptian. That’s why I try my best always to illustrate my versions of these

historic theories and facts through storytelling, either through one small simple black and white spot sketch or to a fully finished colour spread. 
My style is simple yet appealing and I tend to remain that way for my careers as an illustrator, writer and storyteller.
